Bobby Brown & BET threw the most amazing backyard Bobby-Q party to celebrate the private screening of the first episode for BET’s 2 part series of the Bobby Brown Story. Brown felt it was important for the world to know his truth the life story of an R & B musician. Kenny Burns “the lifestyle specialist” was the choice as MC of the Bobby-Q party. The infamous DJ D-Nice was right beside him on the turntables and the celebrities poured inside the venue all night long. Bobby Brown held nothing back in his new TV movie based off his autobiography released in 2016 titled “Every Little Step: My Story.

Actor Woody McClain did an excellent job filling the shoes playing the role as “Bobby Brown” for the second time as he also played Bobby Brown in the New Edition Story 3 part series which also airred on BET. The biggest shock factor during the first episode was a specific scene with Janet Jackson, played by Cree Davis. Bobby’s memoir book was his first mention of his heartbreak when he ended his relationship with Janet Jackson. Tyler Williams also resumed his role as young Bobby Brown in the opening act of the series. Bobby’s parents were played by Sandi McCree (Carole Brown) and comedian/actor T.K. Carter played the role as Bobby’s dad Herbert Brown.

The Bobby-Q theme promoted Bobby Brown’s famous Bobby B Brown Foods Bar-b-que Sauce. The entire food spread was amazing. Collard greens & cornbread, mac and cheese, and baked beans were the tasty side choice of the pulled pork, pulled chicken, beef brisket all marinated in the Bobby B Brown foods Bar-b-que sauce or the shrimp po-boy. The venue was the perfect set-up for a back-yard party. It just wouldn’t have been a real back yard party without the group ‘Final Draft’ kicking off the electric slide or actor Mike Terrell getting the party started by hyping the guests to join him in some drinking and shaking a tail feather on the dancefloor.

Big Gipp from the Goodie Mobb took over the mic to provide the crowd with some live entertainment until actor Tristen Mack Wilds hopped on the mic with DJ Dnice to remind everyone he’s not only a talented actor but a singer and song writer as well. Wilds blew everyone away singing a few lines from some of his upcoming music. Guests enjoyed back yard games, the Bobby Brown themed photo booth and the open bar with a featured drink (Whiskey & Lemonade) “The Perogative.”

After the sunset it was finally time for Bobby Brown to settle the crowd down and introduce his family and the film. Brown felt it was important to warn his children ‘when you see your Daddy in this film you are actually going to see your real Daddy and learn some things that you may not know already.” Bobby thanked everyone for coming out and supporting him for the past 35 years. “Don’t Be Cruel” was an album I released 30 years ago; I did another album before that but the Don’t Be Cruel one still remains hot and well known today. I thank you all for supporting me and my music career for the past thirty-five years and please stay tuned for more coming to you from Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike.” exclaimed Brown.
