M’dear (Loretta Devine) is not only the life of the party but is happily married and truly in love. Her husband Jebediah (played by Richard Roundtree) put the patriarch Father back in the household which is definitely something we need to see back on television. The entire cast (minus Tia Mowry-Hardrict) was available at the Essence festival expressing the joy they had in filming together.

The stellar cast consists of Loretta Devine (M’Dear), Tia Mowry-Hardrict (Cocoa), Richard Roundtree (Jebediah), Anthony Alabi (Moz), Talia Jackson (Jade), Isaiah Russell-Bailey (Shaka), Cameron J. Wright (Mazzi) and Jordyn Raya James (Ami).
