Unfortunately, for the 25 NFL teams that showed up at the Atlanta Falcons workout training facility in Flowery Branch, GA. The former NFL quarterback and activist decided to make a last minute change in his workout venue. Although “black twitter” was outraged Kaepernick received a warm welcome by Clayton County public school officials and hundreds of fans who cheered him on from behind a chain-link fence.
Word on the curb the NFL “denied the press to access to attend the workout at the Falcons training facility” and “THE PEOPLE” are saying the NFL had a hidden agenda and was strickly setting up a last minute “NFL workout” on a “CYA & compliance” mission but really no real intention on welcoming Kaepernick back to the NFL. The agent for Kaepernick confirmed he has “YET to Hear Back” from any of the so called interested teams that he has reached out to. Looks like Kaepernick refused to put full trust in an organization that has failed him for the past 3 years but wanted to word to spread of how his skillset is currently and see he is in great condition to play.
The exiled quarterback “staged his own impromptu passing display for 40 minutes at Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, GA. According to a Fox 5 Atlanta article
At the school, Kaepernick declared again that he’s ready to play in the NFL just as long as someone gives him a chance.
“I’ve been ready for three years,” he said. “I’ve been denied for three years. We all know why. I came out here today and showed it in front of everybody. We have nothing to hide. We’re waiting for the 32 owners, the 32 teams, (Commissioner) Roger Goodell, all of them to stop running, stop running from the truth, stop running from the people.”
Jessie Goree, the chair of the Clayton County Board of Education, said this was not Kaepernick’s first visit to the school.
“His fraternity brother let him come over here and work out on Thursday. And today they called and asked if they could use the facility and we said yes,” Goree said.
Fox 5 Atlanta was able to catch up with several onlookers to find out what they thought about Colin Kaepernick doing the NFL workout. Seems everyone who spoke with the news outlets were very excited about getting to see Kaepernick work out and all agreed he looked more than ready to play on that football field.
Do you think that Kaepernick is seriously considering returning to the NFL or do you think the naysayers are correct that Kaepernick is just being a Clout Chaser? Check out what Black Twitter had to say.
