Meet the men of Tyler Perry’s Show “BRUH” on BET+

Tyler Perry’s “BRUH” is one of the best shows on the BET Plus Network. It’s easy to understand why these four men have amazing chemistry on camera after interviewing them and understanding the brotherhood they have developed off camera (in such a short period of time).

TYLER PERRY’S BRUH is executive produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry. Michelle Sneed also serves as Executive Producer of the series for Tyler Perry Studios. For more on TYLER PERRY’S BRUH, go to http://www.betpressroom.com. Follow us on social media platforms
@betplus, and join the conversation using the hashtag #TylerPerryBruh.

Phillip Mullings Jr. (Mike), Barry Brewer (John), Mahdi Cocci (Tom), and Monti Washington (Bill) are the four young handsome men that keep your eyes glued to the television with their dating scenarios. Modern day problems with a hint of drama in each one of the guy’s life in real time (on the television show only ladies). Please don’t confuse their television characters with real life. These have got to be four of the most respectable young men that I’ve interviewed in a very long time.

Please tune in September 10th on BET+ and I really hope if you missed the first 12 episodes that you go back and binge watch everything so you will know what’s going on. I promise you won’t regret adding this show on repeat as the type of series you can watch over and over again.

Check out our zoom interview below:

As an advocate BET television viewer for the past 40 years I can’t believe that Tyler Perry’s new show BRUH is what made me download the BET+(Plus) app. There are so many amazing shows streaming on the Plus App. At first I thought it was just a streaming platform of old school BET shows; “boy was I wrong!” Download it today!

The Photograph staring Issa Rae & LaKeith Stanfield – the perfect Romance Dramedy

Screen Shot 2020-02-17 at 10.08.09 PMWent to see The Photograph today after reading a handful of great reviews even though they had me after I had seen the trailer. I love a great love story & Valentine’s Day (even after having no specific Valentine for the past 12 years). Issa Rae & LaKeith did an amazing acting job of really making the audience feel like they are both in love in real life.

The writer/director Stella Meghie of this film Stella did an amazing job of telling a story line without adding too much drama or conflict to detract from the “love line” of the story. A great job of flip flopping back and forth through two different time eras and telling two love stories of two different generations of women at once. There were a lot of moments in the movie that made the audience look at their own personal love life (looking at their relationship with their own mom), their ability to take a chance on love or wonder why they aren’t willing to take chances on love. The public, black twitter and actors were not happy when the 2020 Oscar Nominee list was revealed. It’s seems the #OscarsSoWhite remains #SoWhite as there was still a total lack of diversity not only in the actor/actress categories but also in the Director, Music and Screenplay nominations.

The consensus was the sure way for an African American to be considered for an Oscar nodd would be to star in a film about slavery and storylines that depict the oppression  of Black people. Ironically Cynthia Erivo is not only getting flack for his nomination but she also received alot of flack from the African American Community because of being Brittish and being chosen for the role of Black America’s honored and beloved Harriett Tubman.

Personally, the Producer’s Channel is so proud of Cynthia Erivo for the outstanding acting she displayed in the film Harriet and if anyone of these people criticizing even saw the film they would have to agree that she definitely earned her Oscar nomination and we will be rooting for her all the way to the finish line for the win!

Be sure to tune in to the Academy Awards show Feb 9th as we await Cynthia Erivo walking off that stage with her Oscar in hand! Check your tv guide for local listing and time. Here is the full list of 2020 Oscar nominations: Continue reading Cynthia Erivo Only Black Female Actress to receive Oscar nomination for Best Actress & Original song for ‘Harriet’
