Attorney Reginal Greene and his beautiful six children
ATTORNEY REGINALD GREENE KNOWN BY HIS SOBRIQUET ‘THE SUPER LAWYER’ IS ALSO A SUPER DAD
Father of six, attorney Reginald Greene is the founder, managing member and managing attorney of Greene Legal Group, LLC. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, magna cum laude, from Howard University at the age of 20. He also received his Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from Howard University Law School. Being a successful businessman has not detracted from his fatherly duties in the least bit.
One may wonder how does a full-time lawyer with his own practice manage to stay at the top of his game while also managing to be a hands on Dad when fatherhood is also full-time duty work? It’s inevitable Reginald Greene implements the same level of care, life-skills, experience and commitment when it comes to fatherhood that he uses when it comes to representing clients and winning cases. How so you might ask?
The Producers Channel TV reporters were able to catch up with the “Super Dad” and ask some very pertinent questions. Pay attention to how important parenting is to this accomplished Dad and professional business owner.
How important do you think a Dad’s Role is in a child’s life?
A Dad’s role in a child’s life is extremely important. A good father is a leader, teacher and guide. He provides time, attention, love, support and discipline. He can also be a role model. Ultimately a mother and father have distinct roles.
Do any of your children aspire to be a lawyer?
My oldest son, Reginald Jr. is in law school. He graduates next year.
How do you balance being the Super Lawyer & Super Dad?
It’s simple I put everything in this order. God. Family. Justice. There is a delicate balance between work and home life. Throughout my career as a lawyer I have always been striving to balance. Early in my career, I had a lot to learn. In my work life, I allowed work to consume a significant amount of my time. As years went on I was able to increase my family time significantly. For me, becoming my own boss was key. That gave me the most flexibility to balance my work and family life.
Do the daily tasks in the life of being “The Super Lawyer” make you feel like a Super Hero?
Absolutely. When people seek my advice, it is usually some situation involving distress or tragedy. My job is to get the best possible outcome and “save the day”… just like a super hero.
Speaking of being a Super Hero. I believe it was right before your oldest daughter’s left for college, you accompanied her to ‘Ryan Cameron’s Father Daughter Dance’ in Atlanta, GA at the Delta Hangar. Why do girls need to understand and experience the depth of love from a father or father figure?
A father is usually a girl’s first love. That relationship will have a significant impact on how she allows herself to be treated in life and in relationships with men. A father must make sure to teach his daughter her worth and what she should and should not tolerate.
How vital to a child’s future is it for parents to instill setting life goals in their children at an early age?
Every child is different. Parents needs to get to know their children and motivate them in a way that makes sense for who they are. Sometimes parents try to force a round peg into a square hole.
If you could pen an open letter to your children how would it read?
That is not something I would share publicly. I would, however, advise my children or any other child/young person to strive for excellence; have creativity, love, joy, happiness and compassion; treat others with the respect that they deserve; find something to smile about daily; figure out what you are passionate about and find a way to make a career or business out of it.
This was amazing insight coming from someone accomplished who through the years has mastered the balance of work and home life. I’m sure attorney Reginald Greene the party of six father has multiple stories to share. Finding balance, I presume is always a work in progress especially while constantly endeavoring to fine tune multiple situations.
