Thousands of young millenials convened at the Georgia Freight Depot on September 29th to experience “Destination: Atlanta,”a one-day free music festival hosted by Journeys and adidas Originals. The second annual event included live performances from Lil Yachty, Kodie Shane, Marlo, Jamee Cornelia and Mike Floss and featured DJ sets by Heroes x Villains and Ferrari Simmons. Lifestyle influencer Kenny Burns emcee’d the event.
BET HER presents the Black Women’s Expo which took place in Atlanta, GA on September 14th & 15th at the Georgia International Convention Center. There were multiple panel rooms, live performances, vendor booths, the sounds of DJ Jahlion and beautiful BET Her pink decor everywhere.
The panel that stood out the most was an all female panel consisting of women in the industry moderated by Shekinah Jo. vh1 Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Karlie Redd and singer LeLe from SWV were on the paneling sharing very personal information. Curl Fest held it’s annual 2019 Curl Fest event in Atlanta, GA at Candler Park.
What an amazing Day it was with nothing but beautiful women all shapes, sizes and colors all confident in their skin. It was an typical hot Atlanta weather but a calm down in temperature from the past 99 degree weather Atlanta had been experiencing for the past week.

Starting out the night by honoring Shanti Das & Marlon Nichols for their 10 year commitment to this project. Jamie Foxx showed up and showed out as Coach the the opposing team during Ludacris annual celebrity basketball game at Morehouse College auditorium. This is one of the most star studded events that happens every Labor Day weekend for the past 14 years. Ludacris’ foundation focuses on educating youth and fostering economic development; the weekend events, which are held at various places raise money that benefits the LudaCares Foundation and other children’s charities.
