
Detroit has truly lost a DJ, Friend, Father, Family man and motivator to many of his industry friends. Social media always tells the real story & from all the comments of love and condolences DJ Slick B was truly loved by many and will clearly be missed. The shock of this unfortunate tragedy is just a hard pill to swallow especially since so many people had just interacted with DJ Slick B during the series of events Super Bowl weekend in Miami and DJ & Hosting earlier the same day he was robbed and murdered.
Detroit police are currently investigating a shooting, which took place Friday at 7:25 p.m. on the 10100 block of West McNichols. According to sources, one of the victims, Byron, also known as DJ Slick B, died on the scene and the other victim, who is unidentified, was taken to a local hospital.
Upon further investigation, local police say the preliminary information currently presented is subject to change. Police have not confirmed whether anything was stolen as an attempted robbery has been reported to be the cause of tonight’s tragic events. – Clubhouse.com
“He was a real workaholic and would take every job he could possibly take, to and he would do a lot for free,” said music producer, Helluva.
“Real humble guy, speaks from the heart, loves the city, has a family, that’s what hurts the most,” Dr. Darrius said.
Dr. Darrius says the 28-year-old leaves behind three children. He was born and raised in Detroit, and took that pride on the road with him.
“He never forgot the independent Detroit artists he still rode for Detroit,” Helluva said.
