Actor Michael Luwoye (The Gifted) lands series regular role on NBC’s Bluff City Law which airs Monday nights at 10pm. The Producer’s Channel got a chance to have lunch with the Michael Luwoye star catch up with him on his latest role. We thought it would be hard imagining him out of character with Nola from Netflix’s ‘She’s Gotta Have it. Everyone knew the Central Park 5 Story when the 5 teenagers from NYC were sentenced in 1989 but to see this story unfold on the big screen and feel the pain and injustice these boys endured; especially Korey Wise. We were simply not prepared.

Such a wealth of knowledge in regards to updates on the types of scripts Hollywood networks and streaming networks are looking for; as well as the best ways to see that your script gets placed in the right hands and the right rooms. Black Panther, Netflix, HBO and ABC are leading the pack in nominations!

The iconic NAACP Image Awards is celebrating 50 years!!! It’s not surprising that Black Panther leads in terms of projects with 17 nominations in multiple categories. Wow, Netflix is leading in terms of Networks holding 22 nominations (4 film nom which goes to prove the Digital era is not to be ignored). HBO (20 nominations), ABC (18 nominations) holding 3rd place.
Lots of well deserved nominations. This year the Producers Channel TV hit the red carpet for several of these private screenings and had the privledge to interview so many nominated directors, writers and actors. Chadwick Boseman and director Ryan Coogler, LeBron James, Regina King and Beyoncé are each nominated for entertainer of the year. The Black Panther soundtrack single “All the Stars” is up for best music video, along with other nominations. If Beale Street Could Talk and Black-ish with nine nominations each, Insecure and Seven Seconds with eight each, BlacKkKlansman with seven nods, each.
Black Panther, Beale Street, BlacKkKlansman, The Hate U Give are all nominated for outstanding motion picture along with Crazy Rich Asians, according to The Hollywood Reporter
