Stevie Wonder Celebrates World Peace Day at the U.N. with a Live Concert! Only on BET/Centric Thank you Sunseeker Productions

BET CEO Debra Lee, famed musician Wyclef Jean and more reflect on the evening’s festivities and headlining ‘UN Messenger of Peace,’ Stevie Wonder. Sunseeker Media CEO Bart Phillips, his Production Editing Chief Justin Budd & the production crew were very proud to be a part of this event. UN Messenger of Peace Stevie Wonder enlisted the help of his famous friends for a three-hour long birthday bash and concert held at the Great Assembly Hall in New York City.

The crowd of dignitaries, humanitarians and music industry insiders sat in awe as Wonder performed some of his greatest hits including, “You Are the Sunshine of My Life,” “Superstition,” “Higher Ground,” “Love’s in Need of Love Today,” “If It’s Magic,” “As,” “My Cherie Amour,” and “Heaven Help Us All.”

“Peace is something we bring about by taking small action every single day,” said Wonder during the concert hosted by BET Networks and Wonder Productions. “Sometimes you have to work hard to promote love over hatred. That’s one reason why I make music and I love doing it.”

Onstage making beautiful music with the legend was a blockbuster slew of old and new artists. Estelle, Sting, Wyclef Jean, Valerie Simpson, Elle Varner, Bebe Winans, Doug E. Fresh, Janelle Monae, Freddie Jackson, South Korea popstars The Wonder Girls and Stephanie Mills all graced the stage to spread the message of the night: All the world needs now is love sweet love.
