THE CW AND BLACK WOMEN FILM NETWORK SCREEN “ALL AMERICAN” IN ATLANTA
Last night, The CW along with the Black Women Film Network (BWFN) hosted a screening of the new series ALL AMERICAN at Regal Atlantic Station. Cast member Bre-Z (who plays “Tamia ‘Coop’ Cooper”) attended along with ALL AMERICAN director Rob Hardy, showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, CW Senior VP of Current Programs Traci Blackwell and former NFL player Spencer Paysinger, the inspiration for the show.
Guests watched the pilot episode and enjoyed an insightful Q&A moderated by Bossip managing editor, Janee Bolden. Additional attendees included actor Clifton Powell (“Saints & Sinners”), rapper Bonecrusher, WNBA star Angel McCoughtry, actor E. Roger Mitchell (“The Quad,” The Hunger Games), singer Brandi Williams (Blaque), retired two-time Super Bowl Champion Tyrone Poole (New England Patriots) and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver and Super Bowl Champion Eric Matthews.
ALL AMERICAN tells the story of a rising high school football player from South L.A. who is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High and forced to navigate a vastly different world. The show stars stars Daniel Ezra as “Spencer James,” Taye Diggs as “Billy Baker,” Samantha Logan as “Olivia Baker” and Bre-Z as “Tamia ‘Coop’ Cooper.”
When two single parents accidentally swap phones on a hectic Christmas Eve, they also swap their children’s backpacks. As a result, they find themselves covering for each other. This leads to a series of chaotic yet heartwarming events. Eventually, this results in unexpected romance. His contributions have solidified his status as one of the most prominent producers in the film and television industry today.
Executive Producers on ‘The Day Before Christmas’ also include Perri Camper and Trell Woodberry. Gregg McBride, Garrett Mock, Maggie Mock served as producers. Jerry LaMothe Director, and Trell Woodberry Writer.
Yung Joc and the Streetz Morning Takeover appeared at the South DeKalb Mall parking lot. Shawty Shawty and Mz Shyneka (not shown in gallery) joined them. Netflix’s ‘All American’ lead actor Peyton Alex Smith was happy to volunteer. He greeted residents and handed out free Shady Brook Farms turkeys, potatoes, greens, and PRIME energy drinks. They also provided all the fixings to make an amazing Thanksgiving Day dinner.
There was a long line of residents ready to greet a long line of volunteers. There were several different organizations that showed up for the host Larry Johnson and the Women of the NAACP Atlanta. Nicole Ford of District 3 was out in the cold with her supporters.
The girls representing Prime had free merchandise. The organization Hug Life cares, and members of the Divine 9 also participated and made their presence felt. The @mystreetz945atl team left the South DeKalb Mall. They met up with Streetz 94.5 radio hosts J Smoke and ETCali at the Walmart on Old National Hwy. They wanted to keep the spirit of “1 free turkey per family” alive.
Many seniors and neighborhood residents showed up. They also had the opportunity to sign up for a medical CBD card. Additionally, they received more free treats. There was a gaming truck available. It was a reward for the kids who waited patiently in line with their parents and grandmas.
The Nagel Law Firm was representing at the Walmart on Old National Hwy. Dr Maria of Noble Chiropractic in Norcross, offered amazing free 5 minute massage sessions. ETCali was leading the pack as far as fan recognition. Many people wanted to pose in a photo with him. They thanked him for cheering them up in traffic from 2-6pm daily.
Thanks to the Team Captain Solo. He ran a tight ship in the parking lot. He directed the drivers, kept the order, and stayed on time from start to end. Everything was very well organized. What an amazing Saturday for the Community. Giving Back is definitely the love language at Streetz 94.5 as a radio family.
Helpers Health and Community Initiative founders tapped Karon Joseph Riley to guest speak to the adults and youth for their 10th Anniversary Gala . The location was a safe place where some chose to dance and some chose to socialize at their table. It was a packed house and everyone looked stunning. Actor/Producer Karon Joseph Riley was not only a guest speaker. He was big brother, father, confidant and a coach during his speech. Riley offered lots of encouragement. He reflected on his own triumphs and tragedies in life.
The dinner guests were so excited about their new looks and new clothes. You can tell they were partying with a purpose. Mentorship was offered at the event. If you couldn’t sign up you can visit the website and do so.
Jay Morrison was the Mister of Ceremony for the evening. The real estate investor was very entertaining and uplifting. Ruchelle spent the evening mingling with her guests and making sure everyone was comfortable and content.
At the conclusion of the event, Co-founders RuchelleThomas and Camar Williams not only expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their dedicated longtime volunteers but also delighted them with a surprise “to go” prize. The volunteers were utterly stunned and brimming with excitement, for who can resist the joy of a thoughtful gift? Beyond the enchanting surprise gift bag, several meaningful awards were presented, accompanied by deep, heartfelt appreciation.

Netflix hosted a special screening in celebration of TYLER PERRY’S BEAUTY IN BLACK in ATLANTA at the posh iPic dine-in theater, located in the heart of Midtown. Creator, director, writer, and executive producer Tyler Perry and the cast showed up and showed out on the red carpet. Leading actress Crystle Stewart, Amber Reign Smith, Julian Horton, Charles Malik Whitfield, Debbi Morgan, TS Madison, Ashley Versher, Taylor Polidore Williams, Xavier Smalls, Terrell Carter, Shannon Wallace, Ann Marie Gideon, and Vernetta Leigh Rose were all in attendance.
Mr. Perry kicked off the screening with a round of applause for the attendees. He playfully showered gratitude upon the press, almost as if they were his personal cheerleading squad, for helping to spread his journey and championing his films and TV shows. “Thanks for being my megaphone!” he quipped, while also throwing confetti in spirit for his amazing cast and crew members who undoubtedly kept the drama alive, both on and off set!

Attorney Tom Buzbee asserts that an extra 120 victims are poised to start legal action against Sean Diddy Combs. This information comes from the Hollywood Reporter. They are expressing their eagerness to finally have their day in court.
I expect through this process, many powerful people will be exposed,” Buzbee said. “Many dirty secrets will be revealed.”
Some of the accusers have bravely come forth to law enforcement. They initiated a dialogue. It continued after the government announced a three-count indictment against Combs, known as “Diddy.” This indictment was for his alleged involvement in various serious offenses. According to lawyers representing the soon-to-be-plaintiffs, this brave action reflects a growing awareness. There is also a willingness to resolve an alleged pattern of harmful behavior that has affected many in his circle. Federal prosecutors have taken these allegations seriously, charging him with sex trafficking and racketeering, highlighting their commitment to seeking justice. The case emphasizes the importance of accountability. It also gives hope for positive change in how such serious matters are handled moving ahead.
“Mr. Combs’ legal team noted that he can’t respond to every baseless accusation in the media frenzy.” Erica Wolff, a lawyer for the music mogul, said this. “But, Mr. Combs strongly denies any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
Many accusers are involved in a case against Combs. The case regards alleged sexual crimes and potentially lead to 132 lawsuits.

Nicole Avant and Kerry Washington are also producers with Tyler Perry on The Six Triple Eight. Washington will be seen as Major Charity Adams, the battalion’s commanding officer. Obsidian, 30, plays officer Lena King. Mr Perry told PEOPLE Magazine that it was meeting King that inspired him to do this film. “After meeting with her for a one -few hour session with her I had a whole script in my head.” Tyler Perry is the writer and director of this film.
