Amazon has handed out a ten-episode series order to a new comedy created by writer of Girls Trip – Tracy Oliver
Congrats is definitely in order for Tracy Oliver. The producers channel tv is committed to highlighting the success of black female writers, directors, producers and industry women behind the scene and on the scene. We have learned this will be done with the backing of super-producer Amy Poehler. Our good friends over at Deadline has shared that Oliver will write and executive produce an untitled, half hour, single-cam series that follows four black women and former NYU college friends “as they navigate sex, relationships, and chasing their dreams.” Continue reading Amazon Orders a Tracy Oliver Comedy!
“Always a Bridesmaid” airs September 28th on BET Network. Yvette Nicole Brown says she started writing this story over 20 years ago when she was working as an assistant. “Carrying around this floppy disk from job to job I would just keep adding to the story. 20 years later it’s complete. Had it not taken 20 years to complete it wouldn’t have wound up being the story it is today,” says Brown on The Real Talk Show.

So many people are excited that Chris Brown and Drake have finally dropped the music video for “No Guidance.” Back in June the two released the single and it became one of the summer anthem singles. It seemed appropriate for the video to be shot in Miami.
